Roundtable: The Double Burden of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence Survivors #onlinekhabar #roundtablet Almost two decades after the Comprehensive Peace Accord, Nepal's transitional justice process remains glaringly incomplete. Among the 80,000+ registered complaints, the state has failed most profoundly in addressing the over 4,000 deeply sensitive cases involving survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Denied official "victim" status for 20 years, these survivors are trapped in a double conflict: fighting intense societal stigma on one front, while battling severe, untreated health crises—such as cancer, uterine prolapse, and severe depression—on the other. Tragically, some have already lost their lives waiting for justice and medical care, while the rest continue to suffer in an agonizing limbo. Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict (June 19), Onlinekhabar brings together key stakeholders for a candid and critical roundtable discussion. Panelists Bodh Narayan Shrestha – Chairperson, Parliamentary Hearing Committee Nirmala Adhikari Bhattarai – Secretary, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Devi Khadka – Rights Activist & Survivor Host: Sudarshan Khatiwada Camera/Editing :- Shankar Giri/ Kamal Prasain For more news and videos Please visit: http://www.onlinekhabar.com/ Connect with onlinekhabar via Social media Facebook https://www.facebook.com/onlinekhabarnews/ Twitter https://twitter.com/Online_khabar
