But because it does not have Gorilla Glass protection on the front or on the back which might result in breakage due to drops, so we strictly advise you to case it up to prevent such misery. The display of the Honor 9X is 6.59- inches IPS LCD which has very good colors and contrast levels indeed. Although an AMOLED display is preferable by many, the Honor 9X still has good enough display to not look bad. Plus, the clean no-notch thing makes it even more appealing, especially in this price range. But the performance is what takes a hit in the Honor 9X and that is because of the Kirin 710F processor on the phone. The performance of other phones in the same price range as the Redmi Note 8 Pro is far superior to the 9X which makes it fall behind the competition in this aspect. Similarly, Honor’s EMUI is still mostly like before, so we think it needs a change there too. For battery, you get a decent 4,000 mAh battery in the Honor 9X which has good endurance, thanks to Honor’s aggressive battery optimization. It lasted me for an entire day with some juice left at the end of normal usage. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back is fast and accurate as it is with other Honor smartphones. Now, on to the cameras, there is a triple camera setup at the back consisting of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. The portraits are not up to the mark because of its poor edge detection. The Note 8 Pro, on the other hand, produces far better portraits than the Honor 9X. The primary images have good colors and saturation levels. The details come out fine too. The dynamic range is also not so bad but the Note 8 pros is definitely better than the Honor 9X. Wide-angle images share the same fate. The good thing is that Honor 9X has good night time performance because it good algorithm for processing night time images.
